막내딸의 vacation pictures

 

 

Hello,

I finally got around to resizing our good vacation pictures. 

We went on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore to the Bahamas (Nassau and Freeport) on Sept. 6 – 13. 

It was pouring rain 3 out of the 7 days including on the day in Nassau,

but we still made it to the beach in Atlantis

(shhh … we weren’t really supposed to be there unless we were guests,

but an island local told us how to get there through the humongous maze that is the Atlantis Resort). 

You can tell it isn’t exactly vacation weather because the pictures are not bright. 

But in Freeport, it was a great day and everyone went to the beach there. 

Freeport is more of a tourist-friendly place, whereas Atlantis is more for resort people.

The cruise ship, ironically, was the same Carnival ship, the Pride,

as we took in 2006 on the Mexican Riviera cruise from Long Beach, CA,

but the familiarity of it made it easier for us and helped us feel more at home. 

We ate a lot of food, but surprisingly, we each lost a few pounds after coming home

(hint: we worked out and did not snack). 

The kids loved everything about the cruise and we want to do it again soon.
