가사는 다이애나비를  추모하는 가사로 바꾸어 불렀다

노래를 부르는 동안 복받치는 감정을 주체하지 못하하면서 불렀다

마릴린 먼로는 엘튼 존에게 영감을 주는 존재였고

다이애나 스펜서는 서로에게 위안이 되는 친구였다

14주 연속  빌보드 1위를 차지한다

그래미 어워드 올해의 남자가수상을 수여하기도 했다

역사상 가장 많이 팔린 싱글앨범으로 기네스북에 등재되기도 했다
